Job Description:
The Wellcome Trust, a global charitable foundation dedicated to improving human health, offers a unique opportunity for outstanding graduate students to join their Graduate Internship Programme (GIP). Responsibilities:
Varies by team and location: Specific tasks will depend on your assigned project and team. Examples include:
- Research support: Assisting with data analysis, literature reviews, and lab experiments.
- Policy and communications: Contributing to research analysis, briefing documents, and public engagement initiatives.
- Grant management: Supporting the grant evaluation and funding process.
- Technology and innovation: Assisting with developing and testing new research tools and technologies.
- Other areas: Engaging in diverse tasks under the guidance of experienced professionals, demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn.

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant Master’s or PhD program with graduation expected in the year of the internship (typically August/September).
- Strong academic record and demonstrably strong interest in the chosen field.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and additional languages a plus (depending on location).
Skills & Experience:
- Previous research experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Passion for science and the mission of the Wellcome Trust.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and concepts.
