Job Description:
Sandwell Council is offering exciting internship and apprenticeship opportunities for young people in 2024. These programs are designed to give young individuals hands-on experience in local government and help them develop essential skills for their future careers. Responsibilities:
- Support various departments within Sandwell Council, such as administration, housing, community services, IT, and human resources.
- Assist in day-to-day tasks, including filing, data entry, responding to inquiries, and providing customer service to residents.
- Participate in project planning and implementation across different departments, contributing ideas and support for local initiatives.
- Help with organizing events, meetings, and workshops aimed at community development.

Requirements:
- Open to young people aged 16-24, particularly those who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET).

- Right to work in the UK.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to engage with colleagues and the public.

- Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience:
- No previous experience is required. The internship/apprenticeship is designed to provide on-the-job training and learning.
