Responsibilities

As a PSNI intern, you will be involved in:

  • Assisting with daily operations in various departments such as crime prevention, community policing, cybercrime, or administration.
  • Supporting community outreach initiatives and public safety programs.
  • Conducting research and data analysis to assist in crime pattern identification and reporting.
  • Shadowing police officers and other department staff to gain insight into law enforcement activities.
  • Helping organize and participate in community events and public awareness campaigns.
  • Completing administrative tasks and providing support in areas such as HR, finance, or communications.
  • Attending training sessions and briefings to understand police protocols, ethics, and community engagement strategies.

Requirements

  • Residency in Northern Ireland or ability to commute to the assigned PSNI location.
