Job Description
The Orbex Internship Programme is a fantastic opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students passionate about space exploration to gain hands-on experience in the launch vehicle industry. As an Orbex intern, you’ll work alongside a team of experts developing and operating their Prime rocket and Sutherland Spaceport in Scotland.
Responsibilities
- Participate in assigned projects within your field of study, such as:
- Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Systems
- Structures and Systems Engineering
- Design of composite components or ground segment components
- Satellite interface design or avionics testing
- Sensor testing and integration
- Assist with assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) processes (depending on the project).

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate program in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, physics, or aerospace).
- Strong academic record.
- Specific experience in mathematics, relevant engineering fields, or physics is a plus.
- Demonstrable interest and enthusiasm for the space industry.
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Experience
- Previous internship or research experience (a plus).
- Relevant coursework or projects (a plus).
