The National Trust Internship is offering a range of exciting apprenticeship opportunities in 2024, across various roles. These internships are designed to provide practical work experience in areas such as heritage conservation, countryside management, horticulture, and visitor engagement. Responsibilities:
- Heritage Conservation: Assist in preserving and maintaining historic buildings, gardens, and artifacts under the care of the National Trust.
- Countryside Management: Participate in land management, forestry, and wildlife conservation activities across various National Trust sites.
- Visitor Engagement: Help with delivering guided tours, visitor services, and educational programs at heritage sites.
- Horticulture: Support garden maintenance, plant care, and landscaping projects within the National Trust’s historic gardens and estates.
- Project Support: Contribute to the planning, execution, and evaluation of conservation or visitor engagement projects.
- Research and Reporting: Assist with research and record-keeping related to conservation efforts, biodiversity, or historical preservation.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to health and safety regulations and National Trust guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with experienced conservationists, gardeners, rangers, and other National Trust professionals.

Requirements:
- Education: No specific qualifications are required, but a passion for the environment, heritage, or conservation is essential.
- Age: Applicants must be aged 16 or over.

- Interest in Heritage/Conservation: A demonstrated interest in working in conservation, environmental science, history, horticulture, or related fields.
- Right to Work: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship.
