Job Description
Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) Internship is offering a unique and impactful internship program for 2024, providing dedicated students and recent graduates the opportunity to support vital counter-terrorism efforts in the United Kingdom. Responsibilities
As an intern within the Counter Terrorism Policing Program, you will have the opportunity to:
- Support research and analysis related to counter-terrorism operations and intelligence gathering.
- Assist in preparing reports, briefings, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of strategies and projects aimed at preventing terrorism.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and community outreach groups.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and workshops to gain deeper insights into CTP operations.
- Ensure confidentiality and adhere to all security protocols.
- Contribute to case studies, project evaluations, and fieldwork where necessary.
Qualifications
- Current student or recent graduate (2023 or 2024) in fields such as Criminal Justice, Criminology, International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, or a related discipline.
- Eligibility for national security clearance (required for certain roles).
Experience
- Prior internship or volunteer experience within law enforcement, public safety, government, or security services is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated interest in counter-terrorism, public safety, and intelligence.
Skills
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to process complex information.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and understanding of confidentiality.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
