Co-op is excited to offer its 2024/2025 Internship Program, a paid opportunity designed for students and recent graduates to gain valuable experience in one of the UK’s leading consumer cooperatives. The program provides hands-on exposure to Co-op’s business operations, from retail and marketing to finance, logistics, digital transformation, and community impact. Interns will work alongside professionals to support meaningful projects, gain practical skills, and explore the role of a cooperative in delivering products, services, and social value to local communities.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with customer and member engagement initiatives.
  • Supporting data analysis and insights for business development and decision-making.
  • Participating in marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional events.
  • Engaging in digital transformation projects, including website or app development support.
  • Collaborating with finance teams to analyze budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Assisting in community engagement programs and initiatives focused on Co-op’s social mission.
  • Providing administrative support and contributing to team projects and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program, preferably in areas such as business, finance, marketing, IT, community development, or related fields.
  • Must be over the age of 18 and legally eligible to work in the UK.
  • Demonstrated alignment with Co-op’s values and mission in promoting fair business practices, social responsibility, and community involvement.

Experience

  • Prior experience in internships, volunteer work, retail, or community service is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership roles, or projects relevant to Co-op’s operations, such as customer service, business, or community engagement, is advantageous.
