Job Description:
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is now recruiting for its 2025 Trainee Internship Program. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience for students interested in the construction industry and its related sectors. Interns will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, gain industry insights, and contribute to meaningful projects that help shape the future of construction in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day project management, planning, and execution within the construction and training sectors.
- Support research efforts related to construction industry trends, skills development, and workforce training needs.
- Collaborate with CITB teams on initiatives to enhance apprenticeships, training programs, and career development.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of workshops, seminars, and educational events aimed at promoting careers in construction.
- Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, report generation, and scheduling meetings.
- Participate in site visits to understand construction operations and workforce training processes.
- Provide support in communicating with key stakeholders, including construction companies, training providers, and apprentices.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program (undergraduate or graduate) in construction management, engineering, business, education, or a related field.
- Interest in the construction industry and workforce development.
- Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom for the duration of the internship.
Experience:
- No prior experience is required, though experience in construction, project management, or education/training is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the UK construction industry or vocational training programs is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
