Job Description:
Bristol City Council is seeking motivated students and recent graduates for its Internship Trainee Program 2024. This programme provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within local government, offering insight into the wide range of services the Council provides to the community. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals across various departments, such as community development, housing, environmental services, IT, planning, and more. This internship is designed to develop your professional skills and provide a stepping stone into public service careers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering services within your assigned department.
- Support the development and implementation of projects that benefit the Bristol community.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform council decisions and initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation for internal and public use.

Qualifications:
- Current student or recent graduate in a relevant field (public administration, social sciences, law, urban planning, business, IT, or related disciplines).

- Right to work in the UK (for non-UK nationals, proof of the right to work in the UK without sponsorship is required).
Experience:
- Previous experience in government, public service, non-profits, or community work is desirable but not required.
- Experience with administrative tasks, research, or project coordination is beneficial.
