Job Description:
Arts Council England is offering internship and apprenticeship opportunities for 2024 to individuals passionate about the arts and culture sector. These programs provide hands-on experience working with the UK’s primary public body for the arts. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily activities of your assigned department (e.g., Communications, Funding, Policy, Arts Programming, IT, or Marketing).
- Support the development and delivery of arts projects, events, and programs.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform decision-making and strategy planning.
- Provide administrative support, including managing documentation, data entry, and report preparation.
- Collaborate with team members on projects aimed at improving access to the arts and promoting inclusivity.
- Assist in drafting communications materials, such as press releases, reports, and presentations.
- Participate in meetings and contribute ideas for project development and innovation.
- Help manage relationships with artists, community groups, and cultural organizations as needed.

Requirements:
- Available for the full duration of the program (exact dates to be confirmed).
- Passionate about the arts, culture, and creative industries.
- Aged 16-24 (or up to 29 for care-experienced or disabled individuals) to meet apprenticeship eligibility criteria.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Interest in community engagement and inclusivity in the arts.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role and sector.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience:
- No prior experience is required; this internship is open to individuals looking to gain experience in the arts and cultural sector.
- Experience in volunteering, part-time work, or school-related projects that demonstrate teamwork, responsibility, or creativity is advantageous.
