Job Description:
Argos is offering a dynamic internship program for 2024/2025, designed to provide valuable experience in a fast-paced retail environment. This internship is ideal for students, graduates, or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience with one of the UK’s most well-known retailers. As an Argos intern, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple departments, develop key professional skills, and contribute to impactful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day operations within your assigned department (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, IT, Customer Service).
- Assist in managing customer interactions, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Collaborate with team members on projects, from planning to execution, and provide input on improvements.
- Help with administrative tasks such as data entry, report generation, and maintaining records.
- Participate in product management, inventory tracking, or promotional campaigns, depending on department placement.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing business operations or customer engagement.
- Learn and apply various tools and technologies used within your department to streamline processes.

Requirements:
- Must be available to work for the duration of the internship (length of program to be confirmed).
- Currently pursuing a degree or recently graduated from a relevant field (Business, Marketing, IT, etc.).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Passion for retail, customer service, or e-commerce.
- Strong commitment to learning and personal growth.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently when required.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and systems quickly.
- Customer service skills are a strong advantage.
Experience:
- No prior work experience is required, but any internships, part-time work, or extracurricular activities in retail, sales, marketing, or related fields are a plus.
- Experience with customer service or retail operations is advantageous.
