Position Purpose:
The West Lothian Council Internship Programme 2024/2025 is designed to provide undergraduate and recent graduate students with practical experience in local government operations. Interns will work across various departments, gaining hands-on experience, supporting key projects, and developing a deeper understanding of public service. This programme is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in public administration, community service, or related fields.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist with departmental projects by conducting research, analyzing data, and contributing to project implementation.
- Administrative Tasks: Provide administrative support, including managing documents, scheduling meetings, and preparing reports.
- Community Engagement: Help with community outreach initiatives, including organizing events and gathering feedback from residents.
- Report Preparation: Aid in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Education:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Environmental Management, or a related field.
Experience:
