The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) offers a competitive summer internship program designed for penultimate year undergraduate students passionate about technology and interested in the financial markets.
Responsibilities:
Interns will be placed within LSEG’s Post Trade Technology division, gaining hands-on experience in various technology roles. Your specific responsibilities will vary depending on the team, but may include:
- Assisting senior developers and engineers with ongoing projects
- Working on real-world business challenges to support efficient and secure post-trade processes
- Contributing to the development and testing of new technology solutions
- Learning about the latest technologies used in the financial services industry
- Participating in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions

Requirements:
- Penultimate year undergraduate student on track to complete your degree by summer 2025
- Predicted 2:1 degree or equivalent in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
- Strong passion for technology and a keen interest in financial markets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new things
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Skills (a plus, but not required):
- Programming experience (Python, Java, etc.)
- Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Understanding of financial markets and products (for some projects)
Experience (a plus, but not required):
- Previous internship experience (in any field)
- Relevant coursework in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Participation in hackathons or coding competitions
